ARC Raiders is a multiplayer extraction adventure game,
set on a deadly, desolate future Earth, where the world as we know it has almost disappeared.

The mysterious machines known as the Arc threaten humanity’s settlement on the surface,
forcing people to hide underground in order to survive.
Most are simply content with getting through each day.

As one of the Raiders, you will venture to the surface alone or together with allies, searching the ruins of the lost world.

ARC is a mysterious mechanical force that has devastated the world,
ranging from small spider-like Ticks and reconnaissance Snitches to massive boss-class machines known as Queens.

Speranza is a relatively safe underground settlement built by humanity to escape the ARC threat on the surface.
After completing their missions on the Topside, Raiders return here to take on various activities and decorate their own private spaces.

Workshop
Here, you can upgrade, craft, and repair your gear and weapons.
The Workshop itself can also be upgraded, allowing you to craft even more advanced equipment.

Traders
The Traders of Speranza are central figures in the community, each with their own goals. They offer quests that tell stories from the Rust Belt and reward you for your help. They also trade items and buy any you no longer need.

You can play solo or in a Squad of up to three players.
Matchmaking prioritizes Squad vs. Squad and solo vs. solo matches.

By performing various activities on the topside, you earn experience (XP), and upon reaching certain thresholds, your raider level increases.

•  Each time you level up, you gain skill points, which can be used to learn new skills and abilities.
•  You can enhance your abilities—such as mobility, stealth, and carry capacity—to suit your preferred playstyle.

By playing the game and completing challenges, you can earn Cred.
You can use the Cred you earn to unlock rewards in the Raider Deck.

•  Completing small objectives on the topside (e.g., destroy 5 Wasps) grants Cred.
•  Cred is used to unlock raider deck rewards.
•  The Raider Deck is a progressive reward system — the more rewards you unlock, the more tiers and prizes become available.

You can obtain cosmetic items in several ways:

•  The most common way is by playing the game and leveling up, earning cosmetics as level-up rewards.
•  You can also complete trader quests in Speranza, or use cred earned by completing challenges on the topside to unlock raider deck rewards.
•  Some items can be purchased directly from the in-game store.
•  You can customize your raider’s appearance and gear, or even dress up your chicken companion, Scrappy, with special outfits.

You can freely customize your raider’s appearance.

Choose from different faces, face styles, hairstyles, and body types,
and personalize your look with cosmetics that offer various color options and detailed customization settings.

You can customize your Raider with a wide variety of weapons.

•  From the Rattler automatic rifle and the close-range Vulcano shotgun to the energy-based Equalizer, there are many options to choose from.
•  You can also attach upgrades or enhance weapon performance in the workshop.
•  Gadgets are useful tools on the topside. They include items such as the lure grenade, zipline, mine, door blocker, grenades, and bandages. Some gadgets can be found on the topside, but it’s generally better to prepare and bring them beforehand.

Shields and augments are two items that let you fine-tune your playstyle— whether you prefer to move fast and light by sacrificing carry capacity,
boost your offensive capability for more gadgets and ammo, or focus on defense with a heavy shield.

The Queen is a massive ARC machine, as tall as an apartment building,
that roams the surface defending a mysterious structure known as the Harvester.

Facing the Queen usually ends in a swift defeat, but a skilled Raider might find a way to overcome it.
There are also rumors of other large variants as well.

If you die or fail to extract during an expedition, you’ll lose all the loot and equipment you were carrying.
In that case, you can use the free loadout provided in Speranza, or rely on your chicken companion, Scrappy, who helps collect items for you.

Scrappy, your trusty rooster companion, has a helpful habit of collecting items for you.
You can train him or give him cosmetics to show your appreciation

The exploration areas are collectively known as the Rust Belt, which includes several major regions and battlegrounds:

•  Dam Battlegrounds: forests, swamps, research facilities, and apartment buildings
•  Buried City: a collapsed city covered in sand
•  Spaceport: an old launch facility
•  Blue Gate: mountainous areas, tunnels, towns, and underground complexes

There are also rumors of a place called Stella Montis, though what it is or how to reach it remains unknown.

The Codex is a system similar to an encyclopedia or a field guide.
As Raiders explore the game world, it collects and records information about ARC, various locations in the Rust Belt, and the people they encounter.

As you progress through the game, more entries are unlocked, and new information is added as your Raider’s experience grows.
