The Workshop itself can also be upgraded, allowing you to craft even more advanced equipment.

You play as a Raider from the underground city of Speranza, venturing to the dangerous topside to gather resources and complete missions.

Gameplay

Expedition project
A

At level 20, you'll unlock the Expedition Project - a feature that lets you choose when to reset your progression and start fresh on your own terms. Instead of a forced wipe, you decide when to begin a new journey. This gives you a clean slate while keeping certain rewards and long-term progress.

How It Works
Each Expedition cycle lasts eight weeks. During the first seven weeks, you'll prepare your Expedition by gathering resources and completing the required steps. In the eighth week, the ability to finalize the project will become available and will remain available for that entire week.

If you don't finish before the window closes, don't worry. You can continue working on the project until the next finalization window.

What Resets and What Carries Over
When you send your Raider on an Expedition, most progression tied to your current character will reset.

What resets  What carries over
•  Level, skills, and XP
•  Inventory, stash items, and crafting progress
  •  Cosmetics and purchased items
  •  Raider Tokens and Cred
  •  Raider Decks progress
  •  Codex entries and unlocked maps
  •  Expedition bonuses from previous run

Benefits and incentives
Completing an Expedition grants lasting account-wide benefits. These can include:

•  Unique cosmetic rewards for each completed Expedition
•  Account "buffs" applied for the duration of the following Expedition cycle: Sequential completions of the Expedition Project increase the magnitude of these buffs, up to a limit.

Social

In-game communication
A
There are several ways to communicate with other Raiders.

Ping System
When working in a squad, you can use the ping system to tag objects, locations, ARC, and other players, and coordinate with your teammates. Simply point your cursor at what you want to ping and use the following controls by default:

•  PC: Middle mouse button
•  PlayStation & Xbox: R1 / RT

You can customize these controls in the settings if you prefer a different input.

Voice Chat
To turn on in-game voice chat, go to Settings > Audio > Voice Chat > Enable Voice Chat. Here you can choose if you'd like your Microphone Mode, and set it to either Open Microphone or Push to Talk. You can also select the same settings for proximity voice chat. Proximity voice chat allows you to talk to raiders outside your squad, allowing you the opportunity to persuade other raiders to become allies.

Raider Voice (Beta)
Want to sound a little different while raiding? Raider Voice lets you change how your voice sounds in voice chat. Whether you'd like your voice to come across deeper or brighter, this feature lets you shape how other Raiders hear you.

You can choose to enable Raider Voice for both party voice chat and proximity chat, or only for proximity chat if you prefer to keep things more situational.

To turn on Raider Voice:
1. Open the Settings menu
2. Navigate to Audio
3. Select Raider Voice (Beta)
4. Choose your preferred voice setting and save

Now you're ready for a next adventure with a voice that suits your style.

Confirm System & Connection Requirements
•  Make sure your PC meets the minimum system requirements.
•  Use a stable and fast internet connection whenever possible.
•  A wired (Ethernet) connection is recommended over Wi-Fi.

Unstable connections can lead to frustrating issues, here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve them.

Step-by-Step Connection Fixes

1. First Things First
•  Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on and you're connected to the correct network (SSID).
•  Double-check the password is correct.
•  Try switching to a wired connection for better stability.
•  Avoid using VPNs or proxy services, unless absolutely necessary, as they can interfere with gameplay.
•  Make sure your Windows OS is up to date: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click Check for Updates

2. Use the Network Troubleshooter (Windows)
Windows includes a built-in troubleshooter to detect and fix network issues:
1) Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status
2) Click Advanced network settings
3) Select Network troubleshooter
4) Choose your network connection and follow the on-screen instructions

Windows will scan for issues and either fix them automatically or provide guidance.

3. Switch to a Public DNS Server
Using a public DNS server can help with speed and connection reliability. Try one of the following:

Google Public DNS
•  Primary: 8.8.8.8
•  Secondary: 8.8.4.4

Cloudflare DNS
•  Primary: 1.1.1.1
•  Secondary: 1.0.0.1

You can change your DNS settings in your network adapter configuration.

4. Renew Your IP Address
Resetting your IP address may resolve connectivity issues:
1) Close all browsers and applications
2) Press the Windows key, type CMD, and hit Enter
3) In the Command Prompt, type:
     •  ipconfig /release and press Enter
     •  ipconfig /renew and press Enter
     •  ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter
4) Restart your PC

5. Disable Peer-to-Peer Updates (Windows 10)
Windows update sharing can slow down your connection. Here's how to turn it off:
1) Open the Start menu and go to Settings
2) Select Update & Security
3) In the left-hand menu, click Windows Update
4) Click Advanced Options
5) Select Delivery Optimization
6) Toggle "Allow downloads from other PCs" to Off

This ensures that your bandwidth isn't being used for background Windows updates during play.
